The PreTox family of products are easy-to-use liquid surface preparation systems that effectively convert hazardous lead waste into non-hazardous waste. PreTox does not eliminate lead that is present in the generated waste, but rather restricts the lead from leeching into ground water. The proprietary formulations use a variety of chemicals that aid in balancing the heavy metals present in lead waste. These products are cost effective and work well with various paint removal processes.

Lead Waste Disposal Notes
PreTox will absolutely simplify and reduce the cost of lead paint waste disposal, but the waste still requires careful sampling, handling, protocol compliance, and communication with local, state, and federal authorities and landfill owners to determine the proper disposal methods required. ESCA has supplied many contractors and owners with this product and technical guidance, and are happy to provide the same to you too!
So can I toss this waste into a standard dumpster or regular garbage? Not quite. Product effectiveness depends upon the integration and blending of PreTox with the paint residue. Only sufficient application and proper use will ensure adequate control of lead leachability.
